What is my vehicle worth?

The value of your vehicle is made up of many different factors including miles, condition, demand, and more. You can count on receiving at or above market value from Community Chrysler. It takes a lot of inventory to maintain the largest pre-owned dealer in Morgan County, and the majority of it comes from local trade-ins. My 2012 vehicle has 30,000 miles, shouldn't everything be covered by my bumper to bumper warranty?

Although it is true most mechanical failures would be covered, there are some exceptions to this. Items such as glass and brake pads are covered on in the original 12 month/12,000 mile period (whichever comes first) of the vehicles life. When in doubt, call us, have you V.I.N. number handy, and a service associate can help you find out what is covered.

Do I need an appointment to get my vehicle fixed?

Yes. For your best customer experience, we ask that you call in or schedule online prior to having your vehicle serviced or repaired. This will assure you that we have the proper technician along with the sufficient amount of time set aside to properly diagnose and repair your vehicle.

My Check Engine Light comes on. What does this mean?

Your vehicles Check Engine Light is a general warning light to let you know something is wrong with your vehicle. If the light comes on and is not flashing, and your vehicle is not acting abnormally, then it is most likely okay for you to drive until you can schedule time to have it diagnosed or repaired. If your check engine light is flashing and your vehicle is not running properly (running rough, has a miss, or stalls)then it would be more safe to have your vehicle towed into the dealership.

My Check Engine Light came back on a few months after having it repaired. Did you fix my problem or is it something new?

As stated above, the Check Engine Light is a general warning indicator. It can be turned on by something as minor as your gas cap being loose, a sensor failure, or a transmission problem. When your vehicle is diagnosed, we read a code, the code indicates a part failure or condition that the computer sees as abnormal. This is what causes the Check Engine Light to come on. Many people, understandably so, become frustrated when the light comes back on. The majority of the time, most likely it is not the same cause as the previous repair.

How often should I change my oil? I keep hearing conflicting information on when I should have my oil changed in my vehicle.

As both vehicles and lubricants have become more sophisticated, the oil change parameters have changed. There is a wide range of intervals based upon vehicle make, model, and age. You should always follow your maintenance guide.

Can I purchase an extended warranty on my new vehicle?

Yes - Community Chrysler offers around a dozen different warranty options for your new or pre-owned vehicle. Most of them can be included in the payment at the time of purchase. If you have questions regarding availability on your specific vehicle please contact us here.

What is G.A.P. Insurance, and do I need it?

G.A.P. Insurance is a policy that protects you in the event of total loss due to an accident or stolen vehicle any time during the term of your loan. If your payoff amount is higher than that of the insurance settlement - the G.A.P. insurance will cover the remaining balance of your loan. We recommend G.A.P. insurance if you finance your vehicle with little or no money down. If you put a large sum of money down or pay cash, you will not need G.A.P. Insurance.

What will my interest rate be?

Your interest rate is determined by several different factors including credit score, equity, time on job, and other factors. Due to the relationship Community Chrysler has established with multiple lenders, we have programs that will provide you the best interest rate possible in most scenarios. Can I refinance my current vehicle through the dealership?

Do you accept trade-ins?

Should I buy or lease my new vehicle?

This questions depends on your financial situation and driving habits. You can count on us taking the time to work closely with you, and weigh all of your options to properly decide the right direction for you to take. See below for more information on buying vs leasing.

With a Lease, You Can Usually...

  • Drive a new car without a big down payment.
  • Get a bigger, better-equipped car than you could afford to purchase.
  • Enjoy a new car every few years.
  • Pay for only the portion of the car's life that you use.
  • Receive tax benefits if used for business (depending on the lease, and state and tax laws).
  • Invest any savings in appreciating assets (such as stocks, bonds, etc.).
  • Spread applicable sales tax across monthly payments (varies by state).
  • Enjoy the options to buy, lease another vehicle, or explore other choices at lease end, all without having to haggle over the value of trading it in. (Note: There may be end-of-lease costs for excess mileage, wear-and-use, and early termination.)

With a Purchase, You Can Typically...

  • Build equity.
  • Drive as many miles as you want. (Some leases limit you to 10,000-15,000 miles per year not enough if your daily commute is more than 20 miles each way though you can buy additional miles at a discount in advance.)
  • Travel with messy kids, pets, over gravel roads, and drive into ding and dent-prone parking lots without worrying about wear and use charges.
  • Carry lower limits for auto insurance. See your insurer for actual quotes. (Note: While purchased vehicles typically carry lower insurance limits, some lenders automatically include "Gap protection" for leased vehicles.)
  • Sell, trade, or transfer title whenever you want (subject to loan requirements).

No. You can purchase your next vehicle via phone or email. You can request a custom video of your preferred vehicle, along with additional photos and information.
